Terms & Community Guidelines
Be respectful, keep your clothes on, and never share personal details with strangers. Breaking these rules can lock your account.
1. Who can use Megle
You must be at least 18 years old. By using Megle you confirm that you are 18 or older and that you will follow these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
2. Community guidelines
You must not:
- Show nudity, sexual acts or sexual content, or expose private parts on camera.
- Harass, threaten, bully, or use hate speech against anyone.
- Involve, depict or sexualise minors in any way. We report child sexual abuse material to the authorities.
- Spam, scam, advertise, or ask other users for money or personal information.
- Record, screenshot or share other users' video or messages without their consent.
- Impersonate others, or use Megle for anything illegal.
3. Reporting and blocking
During any chat you can tap ⚑ Report to report the other person and optionally block them. Blocked people cannot be matched with you, send you requests or see you in their friends list. You can unblock people from Friends → block icon. Reports are reviewed by the Megle team.
4. Moderation and enforcement
- Stranger video calls are automatically moderated on your device (see the Privacy Policy). If the system detects exposed male genitals, the call ends and stranger chat (Skip and Start chatting) is locked on your account. Friends, friend messages and friend calls keep working.
- The lock stays on your account after signing out, signing in again or restarting the app, and it returns if you delete the account and sign up again with the same email. A locked account is unlocked by spending 50 tokens. Tokens are bought in the app's token store, with payments processed by Razorpay. Each repeat violation locks the account again and needs another 50 tokens.
- Tokens have no cash value, cannot be transferred or exchanged for money, and are only used inside Megle.
- If you believe a lock was a mistake, send an appeal in the app or email megle@megaleapp.com with the reference code shown in the app. If we find the lock was wrong we will remove it without using any tokens.
- We may also warn, lock or permanently remove accounts that break these Terms based on reports, including severe violations such as content involving minors, which result in permanent removal.
5. Your account
You sign in with your email and a one-time code and choose a unique username, which is your Megle ID. You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete my account & data. Deleting your account permanently removes any unused tokens and does not entitle you to a refund, except where required by law or by the store you paid through.
6. No guarantees
Megle connects you with people we do not know. We cannot guarantee how other users behave, that matches are always available, or that the service is uninterrupted. Use your judgment and leave any chat that makes you uncomfortable.
7. Changes and contact
We may update these Terms; continued use after an update means you accept it. These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Contact: megle@megaleapp.com.
